EFEMERA

[Sound Installation for 8 speakers + sound-reactive visual object]

[Leer en castellano]

With the premise of recreating the sound landscape of an utopian, dystopian, ephemeral and dreamlike future, this multifocal installation for 8 speakers creates a flow of non-repetitive music accompanied by a visual figure reactive to sound.

Created collectively with the artists Ona Galo, Fran Masarelli, Marco Mirone and Roberto Hernández, in the installation, an algorithm alternates and randomly combines different sound samples and musical elements created by the contributing artists, who used different media and techniques such as field recording , acousmatic music, synthesizers and voices to recreate this futuristic dystopian sound landscape.

EFEMERA, as it name indicates, was a portal to an ephemeral world. A non-repeatable experience, which was exhibited in the Ricson Room of Hangar.org on January 18, 2022.
