Alvaro Sola is a multidisciplinary artist who brings an amalgam of fresh images and sounds. Made up of present and past references, his world has the flamenco as a fundamental pillar, reason why Alvaro's sound is as contemporary as timeless. Los Quereles is the closing track of Alvaro's latest album "Sombras".
Álvaro encouraged me to make the whole arrangement with no references at all under his acapella idea, which he originally sent me as a voice note.
His vocal performance and the joyfull lyrics of the song immediately took my imagination to a classic wedding celebration in a tiny, beautiful Spanish ville made of stone. So with this picture in mind, my goal was to contextualize Alvaro's acapella with a simple but percussive instrumentation & sound landscape
